Dip & Dot Party

My "Italy" friends wanted to have a summer party with a great theme! We all love a good dip, so we started brainstorming around the dip theme. We came up with "Dip n' Dots." I think we all had too much fun shopping for polka dot themed things! I went on a hunt for swimsuits and something for the adults to wear.

We set up the polka dot stuff at night and the "Polka dot fairy"came with fun gifts!

Water balloons, Fun Dip, Dots Candy, and a swim suit!

Oh the balloons... these big balloons had quite the adventure!

I need to invest in the water balloon filler that can fill 100 up at one time! These girls LOVED the water balloons!

This happy sun balloon was $12 and it lived at this table for all of 15 minutes, then it flew away. It provided some really good laughs!

Fairy gifts!

I made a sandwich bar for lunch. Dinner (which I didn't get pictures of was Italian Beef in the crockpot). We also had lots of dips!

Funfetti cupcakes!

 They loved the Fun Dip!

Swimming was so fun!

Evan's sweet polka dot outfit!

The girls! My polka dot dress was from Ann Taylor Loft

It was a great weekend had by all!

Baby Shower in a Box

My sister Becka, who lives in California is having a baby girl in September! She wasn't able to come home for a shower, so we sent her one in a box!

I designed & sent out this invitation to my cousins and asked them to bring me their favorite "must have" baby item. When I had made this she had only registered for a few things, being a first time mom, she wasn't sure what she wanted.

I included decorations, a drink mix, cup, straw, a snack, and a game!

I collected the gifts and wrapped them with the little tags that I included in the invitations.

I packed it all neatly in this great box and mailed it off to California!

I included an invitation for her and these instructions:
Baby Shower (in a box )Instructions

1.     Open invitation
2.     Hang up decorations
3.     Make your drink
4.     Put out snacks
5.     Play game
6.     Open presents!

She was so excited and loved opening all of the surprises.

For the game I collected all of our family members (grandma, aunts, uncles, and cousins) baby pictures and put them in this fun collage. I included the key in a sealed envelope!

My little sister and I even Face timed so we could be at the party!

She ended up with quite a haul and had a great time!

Wreaths & Wine Party

Last week, I had my friends over for a "Wreaths & Wine" party.  I had given a few wreath lessons, during the fall, so I thought, "Why not have a party and get them all done at once?!" We met at my house, and then headed off to Hobby Lobby.  In the days before the party, we were pinning inspiration pictures, so most of us went with a vision in mind.  I was there to help them pull their vision together! I wish I would have taken pictures of us shopping. It was a sight to see! We all had our phones out with the pictures trying to find the perfect ribbon, pine branch, or ornament! Andrea even made a friend who was making a similar wreath! I thought she might invite her over too!

All of us spent around $25-50. Some of us hit up the fall sale, 80% off, so they spent a little more, because they bought more than just wreath supplies!

First we had a little dinner, then we got to work! I set up a large 6 foot table and the glue guns.  I would also suggest having out wire cutters, wire, picks, and scissors.

I gave a little lesson on deco mesh wreaths, and we all got to work! I love how they all turned out! Even some of them who are not crafty, and didn't have a vision, came out with great wreaths! It was a hit! A little wine, helps boost confidence too! :)

This is what happens when you try to do a self timer, that shoots 6 pics every time! As you can tell we were having fun!

Our AWESOME wreaths!
