Big & Little

In the month of October I have 3 friends that are having little girls! I put my Silhouette to work to make some Big & Little outfits.

My mom bought me a new label maker that can print out iron on labels! 

Aren't these dresses so cute? I thought they were perfect for 2 & 4 year old big sisters!
I found them at Hobby Lobby.

Of course they needed a flower clip too! 

Can't wait to meet the little sisters! 

Boston- tracing a photo with the Silhouette

My friend Ashley loves her dogs! Her dog Boston passed away a few months ago and it was really hard for her.  She is expecting a baby girl in October, and decorating her little girls room in yellow, and Boston Terriers.  I thought baby T needed a Boston onesie. 

 I looked for a good picture on the Silhouette store, and online, but couldn't find one I liked. So I decided to make my own!

 This was a first for me! 

                              

First I imported a picture of Boston into the program. Then I used the tools on the right to trace the picture. I used the line tools and the closed shape tools (the ones that look like an hourglass). 

Then, once I had an outline that I liked. I cut it with the Silhouette using heat transfer vinyl. I added a cute little red heart to give it some extra love! 

I know she is going to love this! 

Ryder the Fighter

Ryder is a special little baby that was born at 26 weeks weighing in at 1.8 pounds!! Ryder's Mommy Cristina is a friend of mine.  His parents have been calling him Ryder the Fighter, so of course I had to make him a onesie with that on it! Because the onesies come in packs of 4, I had to make him a few! Preemie clothes is hard to find! 

Ryder has a lot of battles ahead of him, so keep him in your thoughts and prayers! I hope that soon he will be sporting the "NICU Graduate" outfit!

R & R

The twins are here! My mom called me and told me she was going to go visit them, and asked if I wanted to go too. Of course! She said she would be at my house in 15 minutes. So, I headed to my craft room, and whipped up some onesies for them. Gotta love my Silhouette. They were finished and ready to go by the time my mom got to my house.  I also made a cute little flower clip for Robyn.

N&M Twins

Another twin shower.... This time it was for 2 boys. I made them onesies using my Silhouette and flocked vinyl.

And as long as I got my suit and tie..

My aunt called me needing something to give a baby boy.
 I gave her a few options, and she picked a bow tie and tie onesie!
It makes me want to sing the new JT song. 

And as long as I got my suit and tie

I'ma leave it all on the floor tonight

And you got fixed up to the nines

Elephants

I made this cute little calendar for my friend Erin's shower. I found a calendar online, and a background. I used Microsoft Word to put it all together.  Then I cut out the elephant that she used to decorate the baby's room.  She doesn't know what she is having, so we guessed pink or blue and the date! We wrote our names with a little colored heart on the dates. Can't wait to see what Baby R will be!

I also made the baby this cute onesie using the same shape.

Aviator Onesie

These were too cute not to make. With my Silhouette Cameo, I can now make pretty much anything! I found a pair of aviators online, traced them in the Silhouette program, and cut them out! Then I ironed it onto a onesie and sewed around it. The only problem I had, was the "wire" parts of the glasses were very fragile! I accidentally made them too big the first time, so I have 2 pairs of aviators for adults if anyone wants them! :)

Big Sis, Little Sis

Before I got my fancy machine, I would print out letters and trace them. I made these Big Sis and Little Sis onesies.  They were very time intensive (I hand stitched around the whole thing!) But they turned out so cute!

Pumpkin Patch

October is here and that means fall is too! I love fall traditions. Every year we go to the pumpkin patch with the kiddos.  This year I made them all a pumpkin shirt! My new toy made it so quick and easy!

 I cut out the letters on black.  This is so much easier than tracing and cutting! I was sure to select double cut so that it would get all of the little threads.

I drew a pumpkin and it cut it out for me! 

The fabric already had the iron on paper on it so all I had to do was iron it all together. 

 Then I sewed around the pumpkin.  I used a ribbon for the stem to add some flair. I decided not to sew around the letters to save time.

Aren't they cute! Can't wait to see all of my little pumpkins in their shirts! 

Onesies

I have a lot of friends who are having babies, and I wanted something quick and easy to make.  I started making initial onesies and onesies with shapes.

• I start with a plain onesie, that I get from TJ Max.
• Then pick out a fabric (it only takes a scrap, and I have TONS of scraps!)  and iron on Wonder Under.
• Next, I either free hand or print off the letter/shape from the computer to trace, and cut it out.
• Iron on the letter/shape to the onesie.
• Finally, sew around it.  I have used both hand sewing and machine sewing.  Sometimes, I add a little bow or flower to jazz it up a bit!
