My friend Ashley is going out to SanDiego to watch the Chargers! She wanted the kids to all be matching. I whipped up these cute shirts so they can cheer on #25, Darrell Stuckey.

Pitt State wreath
My Cousin Tiffany moved into a house in Pittsburg, Kansas this year and wanted something on her front door. I met her at Hobby Lobby and picked out these cute burlap ribbons, some plain letters, and paint. It took us a few tries to get the loops just right so we didn't have to go back! However, it turned out super cute! The letters we used acrylic paint and the end of a pencil to make the dots.

Jellyfish
I've been saving this for a whole year, because it was such a last minute costume last year!
Need a quick and easy no-sew costume? This jellyfish took about 10 minutes and was great for me to wear to school!Materials: Umbrella from Target, bubble wrap, yarn, curling ribbon, and miss ribbons.
Cut to a variety of lengths and tie to metal parts of umbrella.

Pumpkin Shirts
I have a tradition of making Halloween shirts for the kiddos before we go to the pumpkin patch. This year only a few were able to go, but we still had a blast! Schaake's Pumpkin Patch in Lawrence is so fun because you get to go in the patch and pick your pumpkins!

Baby Harry Potter
I may have to read Harry Potter after making this cute baby costume!
The scarf was super easy. I cut rectangles and sewed them together with a zig zag stitch.
I put red thread on top, yellow on bottom, and stitched them together.
Then I used my Silhouette to cut out a tie in red, and one in yellow. I cut the stripes and ironed them on to the red tie, and then onto the onesie.
The vest was an adventure... It took me a few tries, but I based it off this tutorial.
It kinda ended up small, so I added a back and made it a real vest.
To make the cape I used a small black t-shirt and followed this tutorial: http://www.piecesbypolly.com/2013/11/super-fast-and-easy-diy-harry-potter.html

Hutch
A few weeks ago, my mom sent me a text asking if I wanted this hutch. Someone had left it at her rental house when they moved out. I can't say no to free furniture. Especially, because I have been looking for something like this to fix up.
It was a blue, but it wasn't all painted. It needed some love.
The top was this awful speckled fake counter top material.
So I got some gel stripper and stripped it off.
Only to find out it was fake wood.
I gave it a few coats of Mother Earth White Lace paint.
I Loved it, but really wanted to do something with the top.
I had my friends look at it and we brainstormed. Grey, white, new wood?
The hardware also got some Oil Rubbed Bronze spray paint love.
The blue shines thru where I distressed it.
The top came right off!
I ran to Lowes, and got 3 boards that were the same as my kitchen table. The nice guy at Lowes even cut them for me!
A little stain action and sanding and they were ready to be put on!
I LOVE IT! The best part it was under $50!
The hard part is decorating it! I've had about 12 different arrangements.

Family Photoshoot
I've started to do a few more photo shoots for my friends. The lighting during this session was awesome! I've been using the "Magic Hour" app on my phone to see when the light would be the best. It has not let me down! It also helps to have a beautiful family to photograph!
I think this might be one of my all time favorite shots! Her eyes are awesome!
Love the colors they chose to wear!
